Jack Petchey

St Johns School has had the great pleasure of working with the Jack Petchey Organisation for many years. This is a charitable foundation set up by local business man Jack Petchey, which celebrates effort and perseverance shown by young people in our school. Students win awards for many reasons: making progress with attendance, showing support and kindness to others, gaining confidence in the classroom, improving focus and lots more reflecting the individual challenges our young people experience.

The Award includes a certificate, a medal and the experience of an awards ceremony.

The student is able to spend their grant on either an activity or an item that will benefit the peer in their class or school.

Our winners have included:

Josiah Green-Moth  –  Ian Attwood  –  TJ Skinner
Vinnie O’Connor  –  Kyle Dunlop  –  Spencer Douglas

Some of the trips and items that the student has used their Award for, include:

Yoga equipment

Toys and games

Musical equipment for a rock band

Trip to Paradise Park

Go Bowling

Day trip to Sea life Centre
