Food Technology is taught throughout all the Key stages at St John’s. The emphasis is placed on the practical aspects of the subject to enhance pupils’ confidence and practical abilities.

The aim is to develop their skills for independence when they leave school.

The students lower down the school begin to develop their basic practical skills and this gives them a good grounding for when they use these to achieve success in some of the accreditation that we offer for the older students. The most important aspect of the subject is that the students learn but have fun at the same time.
