You should apply to the school office for an appointment to view the school. Viewings normally take place once a week.

Should you wish to proceed with an application, you contact your local authority, who forward your child’s paperwork to us. We then arrange to observe your child in their current placement. If we feel able to meet their needs we invite your child for a week’s assessment at the school. Once we ascertain whether we are able to meet your child’s need we then write back to the authority to offer your child a place at St. John’s.

It is then up to the authority to agree the placement. Should your LEA agree to fund your child’s place, we write to you and confirm a start day.

The parents/carers will receive a welcome pack from us prior to your child’s starting day.
